Some of you may question the sanity of starting a blog, however I would like to assure you I am sane and there is reason behind my madness.
Over the past few years I have championed the use of LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter as vital tools in Monroe Consulting Group and the recruitment industry as a whole. As things started to develop I saw the need to hire a dedicated professional to manage our Digital Marketing (BTW I am still looking for the right person). One of the people I interviewed inspired me to start this blog, although my initial reaction, like most was to try and say it wasn’t necessary. This reaction, like most was based on trying to avoid being constantly harassed for new content. However, the more I thought about it the more I saw the importance of starting a company blog, after all recruitment is a lot more than numbers and matching peoples technical skills to job orders.
Anybody making the decision to engage with a professional recruitment company has a right to investigate beyond the marketing material in a brochure. Candidates and Companies should be able to understand the people they are dealing with and the philosophies and professional beliefs they have. Changing jobs or employing somebody are critical decisions and hopefully this blog will help people to decide, which recruitment company they feel comfortable in working with.
So without wanting to sound to egotistical, this blog is our way of letting you know who we are, what we believe in and hopefully share some insight in to the markets and professionals we serve.
