Monroe Consulting is searching for a Business Development Manager on behalf of a leading global company. 

The role is for a Business Development Manager based in Shanghai, China. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic relationships with direct and in-direct clients
  • Actively interact with key influences (Real Estate, Developers, Project Management, A&D) and direct clients
  • Closure of new business opportunities
  • To expand and retain for specified existing accounts
  • Assist GM/SM to close big tender if requested
  • Meet the sales quota and gross profit targets through creating a seamless customer experience
  • Obtain new service contracts through proactively approaching existing clients 
  • Manage the execution of existing service contracts
  • Look at ways to expand the portfolio of products and services within the account 
  • Look for opportunities to train/educate account contacts
  • Responsible for accuracy on quotations 
  • Verify the accuracy of layouts and order specifications with the customer before releasing the order to be entered 
  • Communicate with customers to keep them informed about delivery and installation schedules 
  • Work with the project management team during installation
  • Develop, implement and manage systems to track all accounts

Job Requirements

  • Must possess a university degree in marketing, business, sales or a related field of study
  • A minimum of two years sales/marketing experience or three years of sales administration experience
  • Experience in the office furniture or related industry preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A high degree of professionalism and integrity
  • Fluent in English and in the local language of the market
