Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Thailand is recruiting on behalf of an international chemical manufacturing company based in Thailand. Our respected client is seeking a professional with over 5 years of experience in demand planning, as well as supply management. This job is based in Samutsakorn Thailand.

The Planning Specialist will ensure that the company produces right amount of products by optimizing inventory and resources using the right cost. Ideal candidate will work closely with key business partners both internal and external on managing demand and supply. The candidate will be part of a SEA team. This is a key specialist position to support manufacturing fields with standard working procedures and practices.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform supply-demand analysis and highlight areas of concern for the next 12 months.
  • Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
  • Review sales forecast and sales trend with the business manager monthly and, suggest modifications consistent with knowledge of current or historical demand.
  • Combine statistical forecast with commercial marketing intelligence to provide future planning demand for the short and long term (S&OE/S&OP).
  • Provide the proper product mix (SKU level forecast), to have the right volume in the right time, to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Provide a weekly, monthly, and yearly report tracking the performance of supply planning and analyze data to meet business strategies including forecasting process for financial objective.
  • Support the S&OP process meetings to review service levels, performance against schedule, inventory strategy, supply plan to meet demand, and resource implications.
  • Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand and supply planning processes.
  • Ensure daily domestic transportation schedule and weekly export operation
  • Maintain the planning data in APO with forecast specialists and assist in the selection of the most appropriate statistic algorithm selection.

Job Requirements

  • At least Bachelors' Degree in logistics, supply chain, industrial engineer, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with modeling, forecasting, analysis, and simulation tools.
  • Professional experience in a multi-national manufacturing organization.
  • SAP, APO, HSIMS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint reporting (or similar systems) experience.
  • The ability to lead people, build teams and communicate effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate in written and spoken English, influence without authority, and establish effective networks across diverse teams.
