Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational in engineering consultant company. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 15- years' experience in Accounting Operations for the job of Accounting Operations Manager. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Lead the Accounting Operations team responsible for general accounting across all group entities (subsidiaries, branches, associates, and joint ventures) in Asia Pacific
- Oversee preparation and analysis of monthly financial results, ensuring adherence to Group reporting deadlines
- Manage delivery of financial insights and reporting to subsidiary company Boards
- Coordinate closely with Finance support teams, including those based in Indonesia
- Participate in annual business planning and reforecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, taxation principles, and relevant legislative changes
- Oversee preparation of half-year and year-end audit files
- Liaise with external auditors and manage audit queries effectively
- Drive automation initiatives and continuous process improvements
- Lead system enhancements, including user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Strengthen reporting capability, internal controls, and finance processes
- Champion transformation initiatives, particularly within Oracle finance systems
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Accounting Operations team
- Promote consistency in processes, reconciliation practices, and documentation standards
- Foster strong relationships with Finance Managers, Financial Controllers, and broader stakeholders
- Create a positive, collaborative team environment and effectively manage conflict
- Ensure robust financial controls and governance across all processes
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification preferred.
- 15 years of experience in Accounting Manager and leading team.
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or equivalent professional qualification
- Extensive experience in financial operations, ideally within a multinational environment
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements
- Proven leadership experience managing high-performing teams
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and finance transformation initiatives
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
