Associate Director, Distribution Technology (Insurance)

This role is responsible for managing distribution-related systems, digital initiatives, and data-driven projects that support Agency and Partnership channels, including Bancassurance. Working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and regional offices, the successful candidate will lead end-to-end project execution, drive system enhancements, support reporting and analytics activities, and identify opportunities to improve processes and user experience. The role also includes mentoring junior team members and ensuring adherence to governance, compliance, and operational standards.


Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with Agency Distribution, Partnership Distribution (including Bancassurance), IT, Group Office, vendors, and business users to support distribution-related initiatives and address inquiries from agents and agency stakeholders.

  • Lead and manage projects related to core distribution systems, including requirements gathering, UAT coordination, stakeholder management, issue resolution, project documentation, status reporting, and budget tracking.

  • Drive the enhancement, implementation, and testing of distribution systems and applications to support Agency Force, Agency Administration, Distribution Support, Agency Training, Partnership Distribution, and management teams, while ensuring alignment with the organization's digital strategy.

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing to team members to support capability development and continuous improvement.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations, facilitate discussions with stakeholders, and apply analytical thinking to support business decisions involving financial and data-related considerations.

  • Ensure that standard operating procedures (SOPs), internal controls, and processes are properly implemented and adhered to, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, legal standards, and PDPA guidelines.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in IT, business systems, digital transformation, or data analytics functions within the insurance, financial services, or banking industry, with exposure to distribution channels.

  • Strong understanding of data processing, analysis, and interpretation to support business decision-making.

  • Solid experience in project planning, execution, monitoring, and stakeholder management.

  • Hands-on knowledge of tools and technologies such as SQL, Synapse, MS BI/Power BI, Windows Batch scripting, and VBA/VBS.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think systematically and communicate ideas effectively.

  • Good understanding of financial concepts and budget management.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
