Chief Accountant

International award-winning executive recruitment expert Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of an international group in the fields of law and consulting.

Our client is looking for a professional and experienced candidate with 3 years of working experience in accounting, tax, and audit firm. The job is based in Ho Chi Minh City.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Keep the Firm's accounts up to date and providing monthly reports and other reports as required; maintaining monthly billing procedures and ensure billing is completed each month and bills are processed and sent out.
  • Manage the Firm's finance functions in the most efficient way and producing accurate financial and management accounts.
  • to prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly tax reports: VAT, PIT, CIT and others, and to arrange filing of such tax reports with the relevant Tax Department.
  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
  • Analyse the Firm's financial performance and making longer term forecasts.
  • Prepare annual budgets/forecasts.
  • Prepare weekly cashflow forecasts.
  • Ensure that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained.
  • Develop internal control policies, guidelines and procedures for budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
  • Maintain the Firm's tax and other records and ensure payment of tax and other statutory expenses on a timely basis.
  • Deal with tax authorities on all tax related issues.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts on the profit and loss, balance sheet, etc of the firm by the 20th of each calendar month (relating to the previous month's activities), as well as year-end accounts for audit purposes and supporting the Firm during the audit annual process (noting that currently, our financial year ends on 30 June of each year);
  • Attend tax audit and liaising with tax officials and management to try to resolve issues that arise.
  • Liaise with external auditors to finalize financial statements and ensure reliability of the reports.
  • Prepare debtors' status reports and follow up with debtors in relation to outstanding invoices.
  • Assist with consultation issues relating to legal regulations on taxes, social insurances, and health insurances.
  • Conduct research to identify new accounting methods or procedures which could improve efficiency or effectiveness of operations.
  • Identify issues with accounting processes or procedures that could lead to future errors or misinterpretations of data.
  • Carry out other tasks required by the Director of the Firm from time to time.
  • Maintain the Firm's secrets and client confidentiality at all times.

Job Requirements:

  • University graduate, major in accounting or finance.
  • A minimum of three years' working experience in similar position.
  • Relevant experience in tax audit.
  • Excellent strategic planning skills.
  • Ability Knowledge of computerized accounting system and Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good communication skills in English and Vietnamese.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, matured attitude, and ability to collaborate with others.
