Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with an organisation in the Professional Services industry to hire a Chief Business Development & Performance. This opportunity is based in Indonesia.
Position Overview
Lead the evaluation, development, and execution of new business ventures across diverse industries while partnering closely with the CEO on strategic growth initiatives.
Drive business performance by transforming opportunities into commercially viable projects and delivering measurable results from concept through execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the CEO to identify and evaluate new business opportunities and ventures.
- Conduct business feasibility studies, financial calculations, projections, and ROI assessments.
- Develop business cases and provide data-driven recommendations to support investment and business decisions.
- Assess opportunities across a broad range of industries and business models, including but not limited to mining, hospitality, F&B, media, and other emerging sectors.
- Lead and manage projects from initial concept, feasibility assessment, and planning through execution.
- Monitor project and business performance against targets, budgets, and timelines.
- Identify commercial opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation.
- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO, providing commercial insights and recommendations for new ventures.
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in business development, strategy, consulting, corporate development, investment, or project management.
- Candidates with a management/strategy consulting background are highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept to execution.
Technical / Functional Expertise
- Strong experience in business analysis, financial modelling, feasibility studies, and project evaluation.
- Conduct business feasibility studies, financial calculations, projections, and ROI assessments.
- Develop business cases and provide data-driven recommendations to support investment and business decisions.
- Comfortable working across multiple industries and unfamiliar business models.
- Ability to identify commercial opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Experience monitoring project and business performance against targets, budgets, and timelines.
