Our respected client is seeking a Chief of Staff (CoS) with a high-impact role designed for a professional who can bridge operations, people management, and executive strategy in a fast-paced SMB environment.
Role Overview
A Chief of Staff, in general terms, supports the President by managing projects, overseeing staff, and ensuring the efficiency of business operations. This role is crucial for aligning team efforts and strategic initiatives within an organisation.
Success in this role hinges on building strong relationships, understanding the organisation's culture, and executing projects effectively. Job responsibilities include, but is not limited to;
- Coordinating the senior leadership team and driving projects forward.
- Build cross function relationships with key stakeholders on projects to deliver to timelines.
- High-level understanding of projects, targets, and expectations of an organisation.
- Can filter all information of the Leadership Team and CEO with clarity and consistency to the rest of the organisation.
- Works with the senior leadership team to produce company internal and external messaging.
- The Chief of Staff will act as the President's right hand, ensuring that strategic priorities are translated into clear, actionable execution across the organization. This role is ideal for an experienced HR Generalist or operations professional who is ready to transition into a more strategic, cross-functional leadership capacity.
- You will work closely with the President to drive alignment, manage key initiatives, and support business growth and organizational scaling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive execution of cross-functional initiatives and business priorities
- Support planning, tracking, and reporting of key business KPIs
- Coordinate between HR, Finance, Sales, and Customer Care Team/Operations to ensure alignment
- Translate executive decisions into actionable plans across teams
- Identify operational gaps and recommend process improvements
- Support internal communication and leadership alignment
- Assist in organizational scaling, restructuring, and workforce planning
Key Qualifications:
- Background in HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or Operations role
- Strong exposure to end-to-end HR functions (recruitment, payroll, compliance, training, etc.)
- Experience working closely with senior leadership or business owners
- Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills
- Ability to interpret business KPIs beyond HR metrics (e.g., productivity, revenue per employee, delivery timelines)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have:
- Experience in banking or financial services ie lending, investments, pharmaceuticals, IT companies
- Exposure to business operations, strategy execution, or transformation projects
- Experience handling cross-functional initiatives in SMB or startup environments
