Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group's Technology Division is partnered and recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation within the telecommunications sector. Our distinguished client is currently seeking for Chief Operations Officer (COO) with 20 years of experience within the telecommunications sector and with at least 10 years of experience in senior management roles.

The successful candidate will be responsible to lead the organization's operations teams and will oversee the organizations operational objectives, strategy, development, implementation of services, customer interface, and relevant operational functions to meet the company's objectives and reputation as a world class carrier network.

Job Description:

  • Manage cross-functional teams as well as develop strong strategies and tactics to maintain or improve operation efficiency in terms of systems, processes, technologies, and personnel.
  • Develop and implement metrics to manage both internal and external service providers to ensure effective and timely deliverables.
  • Carry out review and analysis on the multifunction technical discipline to identify as well as recommend effective solutions to build up sustainable and flexible delivery capacity.
  • Develop, implement, and manage end to end operations support systems and business support systems to support the various business services.
  • Drive and lead the company's Corporate Governance, Corporate Vision & Mission, and Corporate Objectives.
  • To promote and develop healthy working culture with a sense of integrity and good work ethic.

Job Requirements:

  • At least Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 20 years working background in telecommunication operations sector with at least 10 years of experience in senior management positions.
  • Strong Knowledge and experience in OSS/BSS aspects of DWDM, subsea cables, Data Centres, IP core, Billing, IT ad etc.
  • Experience in establishing, managing, and documenting end-to-end OSS/BSS processes.
  • Knowledge in in data analysis and performance/operation metrics to ensure that KPIs and SLAs are upheld.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills and ability to manage teams from multifunctional technical discipline.
  • Action-oriented with a strong ability to take ownership and execute assigned tasks as well as responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and articulation skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
