Chief Risk Officer

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading fintech company in Indonesia for a Chief of Risk position.

The Chief Risk Officer is responsible for planning and directing business analysis, risk modeling, and loss prevention programs. Oversees all aspects of an organization's risk management function. Being a Chief Risk Officer typically reports to top management. Requires a bachelor's degree. The Chief Risk Officer manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Has acquired the business acumen and leadership experience to become a top function or division head.

Job Description:

  • Risk management policies are directly reflected in the organization's strategic plans
  • Timely risk assessment process through risk management expert or in-person
  • Prepare documentation related to risk assessment
  • Create a budget plan for concerned projects
  • Take a thorough look at the audit practices of accounting, compliance reports, and safety measure
  • Recognize the threats to the reputation of the organization, which include blunders in the marketing process
  • Documenting risk analysis reports to various stakeholders such as board members, C-suite executives, and employees
  • Evaluating the operational risks that might occur due to system failure or human error, which in turn leads to the disruption of business processes. In such a scenario, it's the responsibility of the CRO to formulate strategies to overcome the risks
  • Recognize the potential threats to operational efficiency and financial stability of the organization
  • Develop risk-related plans and formulate strategies to minimize and mitigate risks and also monitoring the progress of the project



Job Requirements:

  • Ability to disseminate information and guidelines clearly to employees and check for understanding;
  • Detailed and extensive knowledge and comprehension of financial services policies and procedures;
  • Extensive knowledge of financial services industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of operational, governance, information security, enterprise, market and credit risk;
  • Strong collaboration and team building skills;
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or related experience. Master's Degree preferred.
