Monroe Consulting Group, an award-winning executive recruitment firm, is recruiting on behalf of a prominent and highly established organization within the heavy machinery in manufacturing industry. They are seeking a Costing Manager to lead product costing operations, drive cost accuracy, and support financial decision-making across the manufacturing plant. This position is based in Samut Prakan, Thailand.
The Costing Manager will lead end-to-end product costing and inventory management across the manufacturing plant. This role offers the opportunity to drive financial accuracy and operational excellence through standard cost analysis, variance reporting, and cross-functional business partnering within a high-standard heavy machinery manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities
Lead and manage all costing activities including standard cost roll, BoM and routing validation, overhead absorption, cost simulation, and standard cost y-o-y change analysis with detail factors
Review and analyze PPV, MUV, other price variance, yield and scrap analysis, and ensure accuracy of inventory valuation, month-end closing and OSMI provision
Provide sales, pricing, gross margin, profitability analysis and accurate cost data for annual budget (AOP) and forecast
Perform variance analysis (Standard vs Actual) and identify root cause of production, material and finish good variance
Support management in evaluating cost impact of new products, formula changes and VAVE/BB productivity including process improvement projects and pricing decisions
Manage local content calculations and ensure compliance with ASEAN and international trade agreements such as Form D, E and other certificate of origin requirements
Strengthen cost control processes, ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, SOX and internal controls, and support internal and external audit activities
Drive continuous improvement in costing processes, reporting automation, and system enhancement projects while supervising and developing the costing team
Job Requirements
Academic background in Accounting, Finance or related fields
Experience in Costing with a background in accounting and/or controlling, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong understanding of Standard Costing, MS Office, SAP or Oracle
Ability to work independently, under pressure, in timely and accurate manner
Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
Good command of English
