Monroe Consulting is currently assisting a leading data center and digital infrastructure company in hiring a Data Center Operation Engineer to support the operation, reliability, and maintenance of critical mechanical systems within their Data Center Managed Services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project-to-operation transition activities including design reviews, installation, testing & commissioning, acceptance, and punch list management.
- Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and suppliers for training, documentation, and operational readiness.
- Develop SOPs/EOPs and support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot mechanical-related issues and support root cause analysis activities.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend operational improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
- Support maintenance scheduling, operational planning, and emergency drill activities.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify operational risks and reliability issues.
- Track and follow up on maintenance findings, risk mitigation, and issue resolution activities.
- Collaborate with clients, internal teams, vendors, and partners to support stable and reliable operations.
- Prepare operational reports, maintenance updates, and KPI tracking documentation.
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures, safety standards, and data center best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data center operations, facilities management, or critical facilities environments.
- Good understanding of mechanical systems and data center facilities operations.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in maintenance coordination and operational support activities.
- Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Familiarity with data center operational standards, maintenance practices, and change management processes.
