Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage overall jetty, port, and transshipment operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution aligned with operational targets.
- Develop and implement monthly and annual operational plans, including budgeting, in line with business objectives.
- Oversee end-to-end shipping operations, including barge loading, vessel scheduling, and loading to mother vessels to meet sales and delivery targets.
- Monitor and control barging performance (loading time, volume, and turnaround) to ensure achievement of operational KPIs.
- Ensure all jetty and transshipment activities comply with applicable regulations, standards, and internal procedures.
- Supervise documentation and administrative processes related to shipping and transshipment, including clearance and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate closely with shipping companies, contractors, government authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor coal quality and condition during barging and transshipment (e.g., temperature, contamination, weather exposure) to meet customer specifications.
- Identify operational risks and field constraints, and implement effective solutions to ensure continuity and efficiency.
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational processes.
- Prepare and present regular operational and performance reports to management.
- Drive team performance through effective leadership, coaching, and alignment with KPIs.
- Ensure full implementation of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) standards, including risk management, safety supervision, and awareness programs.
- Perform supervisory responsibilities in line with applicable mining and energy regulations, including inspections, monitoring, and reporting.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maritime Studies, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in port, jetty, or transshipment operations within mining, coal, or bulk commodities industries.
- Proven experience in managing barging and vessel loading operations.
- Strong understanding of port operations, logistics flow, and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with Indonesian mining and energy regulations, including operational supervisory requirements.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to manage large operational teams.
- Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with government authorities and external partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle operational challenges in dynamic environments.
- Experience in budgeting, cost control, and operational planning.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
- Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Strong commitment to Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) practices.
- Willing to be based in Aceh and work in a site-based environment.
