Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with an organisation in the Consumer industry to hire an Engineering Director. This opportunity is based in Mandaluyong City, Philippines, with occasional multi-site inspection visits required.

Position Overview

Lead the engineering, facilities maintenance, and health, safety, and environment (HSE) functions across a multi-site restaurant and food service operation.
Drive operational excellence, asset reliability, safety compliance, and strategic facility management initiatives that support business growth and continuity.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the engineering, maintenance, facilities management, and HSE functions across multiple sites.
Ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of building systems, facilities, and operational assets.
Oversee facilities inspections, preventive maintenance programmes, and asset management initiatives.
Manage engineering and facilities budgets, ensuring cost-effective utilisation of resources.
Lead capital projects, renovations, refurbishments, and facility improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, engineering standards, and operational requirements.
Oversee vendor and contractor management, including performance monitoring and service quality.
Support multi-site operations through regular site assessments and technical guidance.
Partner with senior leadership to align engineering and facilities strategies with business objectives.
Lead, develop, and mentor engineering and facilities teams to achieve operational and safety goals.

Key Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or Occupational Health & Safety.
At least 20 years of experience in engineering, maintenance, or HSE management.
At least 5-10 years of experience in a senior leadership role.
Proven success managing multi-site facilities, preferably within restaurants, food service, or retail environments.

Technical / Functional Expertise

Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, and safety regulations.
Experience in budgeting, project management, and vendor management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) tools.
Experience managing facility maintenance programmes, engineering operations, and asset reliability initiatives.
Knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Experience leading capital expenditure projects and facility improvement programmes.
