Executive Chef

Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of an entertainment company. Our client is looking for an Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations of a large-scale entertainment dining venue with private rooms, creating memorable food experiences that complement the venue's social and entertainment-focused concept. This is a full onsite role, work location will be around Metro Manila but head office is located in Makati City, Philippines.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Menu Development
    • Design creative menus aligned with the venue concept
    • Develop signature dishes and live kitchen offerings
    • Standardize recipes and preparation procedures
  • Culinary Operations
    • Oversee daily kitchen operations in a high-volume environment
    • Ensure efficient food preparation and kitchen workflow
    • Maintain kitchen safety and hygiene standards
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
    • Conduct regular quality checks across all menu items
  • Team Leadership
    • Train and supervise kitchen staff
    • Develop culinary skills within the team
    • Foster a strong kitchen culture
  • Food Cost Management
    • Work with the General Manager to manage food cost and inventory
    • Optimize ingredient usage and minimize waste
  • Culinary Innovation
    • Introduce seasonal dishes and special menu items
    • Create visually appealing dishes suitable for social media and live kitchen experiences

Key job qualifications include:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef
  • Experience working in a five-star restaurant, luxury hospitality environment, or large-scale restaurant operations is highly preferred
  • Experience managing kitchen teams in high-volume restaurant operations
  • Strong leadership and culinary creativity
