Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading FMCG company based in Jakarta. As the business continues to expand, our client is seeking an experienced External Affairs Manager to lead government relations, regulatory affairs, and stakeholder engagement initiatives. This position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess regulatory and policy developments, identify potential business risks, and recommend strategies to minimize commercial and operational impact.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with government agencies, regulators, industry associations, and key external stakeholders while representing the company's interests in policy discussions.
- Drive corporate reputation initiatives through CSR programs, public-private partnerships, and coordinated external communications in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on regulatory trends, stakeholder dynamics, and external affairs matters to support informed business decisions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field, with 8-10 years of experience in External Affairs, Government Relations, Regulatory Affairs, or Public Policy within the FMCG or a highly regulated industry.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with government institutions, regulatory authorities, industry associations, and other external stakeholders, with a strong understanding of Indonesia's regulatory landscape.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, public policy development, stakeholder management, and corporate reputation strategies, with the ability to assess business implications of regulatory changes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with proven ability to build strategic partnerships and provide trusted advisory support to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
