Executive Recruitment firm, Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia's Healthcare Division is partnering with a fast-growing, integrated specialist healthcare provider in Malaysia in hiring a Group Business Development Manager.
The Group Business Development Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the growth and expansion of the company's ecosystem. You will identify new market opportunities, forge high-level strategic partnerships, and oversee the integration of new business units. This role requires a visionary professional who can navigate the complexities of both traditional brick-and-mortar healthcare services and emerging digital health technologies.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
* Identify and evaluate new business opportunities across primary care, specialist services, and digital health sectors.
* Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify gaps in the Malaysian healthcare market.
* Develop and execute long-term growth strategies for the group's various subsidiaries (Dental, Pharma, Medical Centers, etc.).
* Lead the feasibility studies and business modeling for new facility openings or service line expansions.
2. Strategic Partnerships & Networking
* Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies (MOH), corporate clients, insurance panels (TPAs), and healthcare technology partners.
* Negotiate and finalize complex B2B contracts and MoUs that align with the Group's integrated ecosystem goals.
* Represent the Group at industry conferences, forums, and networking events to enhance the brand's market presence.
3. Mergers, Acquisitions & Joint Ventures
* Screen and evaluate potential acquisition targets or joint venture partners that complement the existing healthcare value chain.
* Support the due diligence process and coordinate with the legal and finance teams for seamless business integration.
* Formulate post-acquisition growth plans to ensure newly acquired units are aligned with the Group's operational excellence standards.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with the Group Finance Director and Medical Directors to ensure business development initiatives are financially viable and clinically sound.
* Collaborate with the Digital Health (Healthtech) team to integrate technology-driven solutions into corporate health packages.
* Partner with marketing teams to develop compelling value propositions for the Group's B2B and B2C segments.
5. Project Management
* Oversee the end-to-end implementation of special projects, from initial concept and proposal development to final launch.
* Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure all business development activities remain compliant with Malaysian healthcare laws.
