Monroe Consulting Group Philippines, an executive search firm, is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and reputable pawnshop and financial services company in the Philippines that has been serving communities across Luzon since May 1986. The company is a long-standing player in the local pawnshop industry, offering standard pawnshop and micro-financial services. It is currently seeking an experienced Accounting Head to lead and oversee the entire accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective financial controls, with the role based in Marilao, Bulacan.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, lead and organize the department through proper training, motivation and regular monitoring of direct reports
- Oversees the streamlined operations of the department and ensure it aligns with the business objectives of the organization
- Works closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective solutions for all aspects of the organization
- Prepare regular financial updates to top management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points
- Forecasting costs and revenues to guide financial decisions and achieve budgeting goals
- Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies and suggest corrective actions to maintain financial controls and guidelines
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
- Performs other duties as may be assigned
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
- 10+ years of managerial experience
- Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
- Knowledgeable in financial analysis and strategy
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and accounting system
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial information clearly
