We are seeking an experienced Head of Credit Risk Management to lead strategic credit risk initiatives across portfolio analytics, scoring models, and IFRS 9 frameworks. This role is ideal for a commercially minded risk leader who can balance innovation, governance, and business growth within a dynamic lending environment, offering strong exposure to executive management, with the opportunity to shape and modernize enterprise-wide credit risk frameworks in a fast-paced and digitally driven organization.
Job Responsibilities
Lead the overall consumer credit risk function, including portfolio monitoring, acquisition risk, and risk analytics
Manage and enhance credit risk frameworks, policies, and governance standards to align with business and regulatory requirements
Oversee IFRS 9 and ECL processes, including provisioning methodology, staging logic, and related reporting
Drive the development, review, and optimization of application and behavioural scorecards
Analyse portfolio performance, customer behaviour, and emerging risk trends to support strategic business decisions
Collaborate with business, finance, operations, compliance, and technology teams on risk-related initiatives and product launches
Recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and analytics enhancements to improve operational efficiency
Prepare and present portfolio insights, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to executive management
Mentor and develop team members while fostering a high-performance and collaborative team culture
Job Requirements
Solid experience in consumer finance, banking, fintech, or unsecured lending environments
Strong understanding of retail lending risk, portfolio management, and credit risk analytics
Familiar with IFRS 9, ECL frameworks, and scorecard methodologies
Experience managing teams and working with senior stakeholders or regional offices
Strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of data visualization, BI tools, or automation solutions would be beneficial
