Investment and Research Manager

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a global strategic intelligence and technology market research company headquartered in France, with major operations in the Philippines (Manila and Cebu).
Specializing in delivering AI-augmented market intelligence, commercial due diligence, competitive analysis, and technology research for private equity firms, corporate strategy teams, and M&A advisors

Our client is seeking for Investment and Research Manager who will lead investment research and data product development on software and technology companies and market segments.

This is a mid‑shift role based in Taguig City or Makati City. The position follows a hybrid work arrangement, requiring onsite presence twice a week.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead research and data product development on software & technology companies and market segments
  • Manage and mentor a growing team of analysts and associates
  • Conduct in-depth fundamental research and strategic due diligence on public and private software and technology companies
  • Monitor target companies regularly and support the screening of new opportunities
  • Leverage both quantitative modeling and qualitative insights generation through expert interviews
  • Collaborate with experienced ex-Tier 1 management consultants contributing to the research projects
  • Deliver high quality and valuable deliverables that will support decision making on multi-million investments
  • Communicate directly with high-profile customers, including fund managing partners, billionaire entrepreneurs, family office managers
  • Prepare financial research and strategic screening, and communication materials for our members
  • Take on increasing responsibilities and contribute to the continued growth of the research function
  • Lead interviews in English with industry experts and senior stakeholders
  • Drive process improvement initiatives and support the enhancement of research workflows and methodologies


Key requirements:

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in strategy, research, consulting and business (with several internships in finance/tech/startup or corporate company)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced Excel and quantitative analysis capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation and slide development abilities
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify key insights, synthesize information, and make data-driven recommendations
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and seniority levels
  • Comfortable working independently in fast-paced environments with a sense of urgency
  • Data-driven, with strong analytical and decision-making skills
