The Lead Solution Architect is responsible for leading enterprise-scale solution deployments as the primary architectural authority. This role combines business domain understanding with hands-on technical leadership to translate complex client requirements into scalable functional and technical solutions. Working closely with product, delivery, and client stakeholders, the Lead Solution Architect ensures solution integrity from initial design through production deployment while guiding implementation teams and supporting strategic technology initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end solution architecture and implementation activities, ensuring alignment with client business objectives and platform capabilities.
Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable solution designs.
Define system architecture, integration frameworks, and configuration strategies across enterprise applications.
Provide architectural guidance on system integrations, performance optimisation, scalability, and solution design best practices.
Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and delivery teams to support successful implementation and continuous solution improvement.
Support system configuration, customisation, troubleshooting, and technical issue resolution activities.
Lead technical and functional workshops with client stakeholders, including business and technical teams.
Act as the key architecture advisor throughout project delivery, testing, deployment, and production go-live phases.
Ensure best practices across APIs, data architecture, system integrations, security, and enterprise deployment standards.
Support implementation governance, risk mitigation, testing readiness, and quality assurance processes.
Mentor implementation teams and provide guidance on architectural standards and delivery excellence.
Job Requirements
Extensive experience in retail supply chain technology implementation or solution architecture roles.
Strong experience in supply chain planning, forecasting, replenishment, and inventory optimisation solutions.
Solid understanding of system architecture, enterprise integration, and large-scale solution delivery.
Hands-on experience with Java (Core Java), REST APIs, SQL, PL/SQL, and Shell scripting.
Good understanding of database concepts, preferably Oracle database technologies.
Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend frameworks such as Vue or React.
Experience working with cloud platforms and enterprise application environments.
Ability to lead complex client-facing discussions with both technical and business stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience working collaboratively with global delivery teams, partners, and product teams.
Experience with the SCM GOLD platform is highly preferred
