As a key partner to major global OEMs, our client is recognized for operational excellence and a performance-driven culture. They are currently seeking a strategic Logistics & Purchasing Manager to lead their supply chain and procurement functions for their Thailand operations.
This role is critical in ensuring a seamless supply of goods, production materials, and equipment to maintain a smooth manufacturing and sales process. Beyond procurement, you will drive business strategy by mentoring a diverse supplier base, boosting their performance, and ensuring long-term growth through strategic resource management
Job Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end supplier development and selection process to secure long-term partnerships and protect business requirements across all Thailand sites.
Ensure full compliance with APQP requirements, maintaining critical linkages between Process Flow, PFMEA, and Control Plans for flawless new product launches.
Drive continuous improvement in supplier plant quality and logistics performance in alignment with the Global Supplier Quality Manual.
Execute strategic cost-reduction initiatives across the supply chain, including negotiations with material suppliers, sub-contractors, and freight forwarders.
Oversee all material planning, inventory management, and import customs clearance for overseas shipments to ensure a zero-disruption production flow.
Establish and manage a robust supplier evaluation system-covering delivery, quality, and service-complete with reward and penalty structures.
Monitor supply chain risks and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure sales and production (PIC) capacity requirements are consistently met.
Job Requirements
Experience in Automotive Manufacturing, with a strong background in Material Planning, Procurement, or Purchasing.
Proven track record in strategic management and team leadership, with the ability to navigate complex organizational changes.
Deep technical knowledge of APQP/PPAP, Cost Analysis, and high proficiency in SAP and ERP environments.
Highly proficient in both English and Thai (written and verbal) for professional reporting and global coordination.
Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Fully mobile and available for high-frequency regional and international travel at short notice across SEA.
Strong problem-solving skills and an open-minded approach to working under high-pressure conditions.
