Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with a leading organisation in the Industrial sector to recruit a Management Assistant. This opportunity is based in Malaysia.


Position Overview
The Management Assistant serves as a strategic and operational partner to the Chief Operating Officer, providing critical support across business development, performance management, and executive-level decision-making. This role is instrumental in translating high-level strategic objectives into measurable operational outcomes, enabling the organisation to sustain its growth and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

1. Tactical & Strategic Business Development

  • Provide day-to-day tactical support to C-Level, handling urgent operational topics, analysis and inquiries
  • Prepare presentations, reports and decision papers for C-Level
  • Organise and prepare workshops, performance reviews and BoD meetings
  • Effectively convey executive-level information to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with C-Level executives to develop strategic initiatives, concepts, and plans for operational growth
  • Prepare decision proposals for company management, facilitating executive meeting discussion

2. Operations Performance Management and Improvement

  • Drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of operations KPIs
  • Validate operational assumptions, workload claims, and improvement proposals using data from ERP systems, capacity models, and performance reports
  • Act as a driver for operational excellence initiatives, ensuring structured problem-solving and measurable impact
  • Monitor progress against targets and escalate deviations, risks, or systemic issues to the COO in a timely manner
  • Translate strategic process improvement concepts into measurable operational impact
  • Perform data analysis and sensitivity studies to develop scenarios and proposals for management decisions

3. Project Management

  • Participate in planning, executing, and closing various operational projects aligned with company objectives
  • Work with cross-functional teams to establish project scope, goals, and deliverable
  • Track project progress, address issues, and ensure milestones are met on schedule

4. COO Strategic Action Items

  • Track and manage strategic action items arising from COO and Board-level meetings
  • Coordinate the preparation, consolidation, and validation of information for executive reviews and strategic decisions
  • Support COO-driven initiatives related to capacity expansion, footprint decisions, operational resilience
  • Ensure consistent follow-up on critical topics with department heads and stakeholders
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for COO-related matters, ensuring structure, prioritisation, and execution discipline


Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Business Management, Economics, or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in operations, business operations, or process-oriented roles within a scaling organisation, preferably within the aerospace MRO industry
  • Demonstrated experience supporting, collaborating and communicating closely with senior leadership or executive teams


Technical / Functional Expertise

  • Ability to validate operational assumptions and improvement proposals using data from ERP systems, capacity models, and performance reports
  • Good knowledge in Lean principles and continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in data analysis and sensitivity studies to develop management-level scenarios and proposals
