Executive Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a major global payment brand and a leading credit card issuer and acquirer in Japan. They provide payment solutions through bank partnerships, acquiring merchant partners through financial services and digital payments companies, high collaboration with its existing partner institutions.

This role is based in Makati City and follows an onsite work set-up.

We are seeking an experienced Manager Merchant Acquiring Development Officer who will drive card acceptance growth across key industries and strengthen the company's market presence through seamless execution and strategic initiatives.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the scheme and acquiring banks/payment providers.
  • Drive nationwide acceptance growth by working closely with acquiring partners to onboard and activate merchants.
  • Identify acceptance gaps (by geography, industry, and merchant segment) and develop action plans to address them.
  • Align with partners on business targets, onboarding pipelines, and campaign execution.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with acquirers to track performance.
  • Develop and execute initiatives to increase card usage and merchant activity rate.
  • Ensure strong in-store visibility and branding

Key Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in card schemes, acquiring, banking, or payments ecosystem.
  • Experience in handling acquirers, large merchant portfolios, or payment partners.
  • Strong analytical skills (experience in transaction data analysis is a plus).
