Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm's Healthcare Division is partnering with a leading global testing, inspection, and certification organisation to hire an Assistant Manager/Manager, Sales (Medical Device) to be based in Malaysia.

Position Overview

The Assistant Manager/Manager, Sales (Medical Device) will be responsible for driving new business acquisition, managing key customer accounts, and promoting testing and certification solutions within the medical device industry. This role plays a critical part in achieving revenue growth, strengthening client partnerships, and supporting customers in meeting regulatory and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across medical device manufacturers and healthcare companies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers and strategic partners.
  • Promote testing and certification services covering areas such as microbiology, biocompatibility, electrical safety, EMC, cybersecurity, and sustainability.
  • Drive certification solutions including ISO 13485, EU MDR, MDSAP, and Malaysian local schemes.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Expand the customer base and grow existing accounts through consultative selling.
  • Conduct client visits, presentations, networking activities, and industry events.
  • Travel within Malaysia as required to meet customers and develop business opportunities.

Key Requirements



Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering, Biomedical, Medical Technology, Life Sciences, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of B2B sales or business development experience, preferably in an international environment.
  • Proven track record in new business development, account growth, and consultative selling.
  • Experience in medical devices, healthcare, testing, certification, or regulatory services will be an advantage.


Technical / Functional Expertise

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand and communicate technical solutions.
  • Experience promoting testing and certification services covering microbiology, biocompatibility, electrical safety, EMC, cybersecurity, and sustainability.
  • Knowledge of certification solutions including ISO 13485, EU MDR, MDSAP, and Malaysian local schemes.
  • Experience developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Ability to manage customer relationships, strategic partnerships, and account growth through consultative selling.
