Manager Talent Management

International award-winning executive recruitment expert Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a global law firm. Our client is looking for a professional and experienced candidate with at least 8 years of working experience in Human Resources Management. The job is based in Ho Chi Minh City.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with the AP Director of Talent Management to develop and deliver a compelling People strategy across the Firm's worldwide offices, with primary focus on Vietnam
  • Act as an enabler to the Firm's transition from an office-oriented Talent Management function to a unified Business Partnering model, enabling a significantly enhanced experience for all the Firm's employees, and creating exciting, fulfilling new opportunities for the business professionals in our Firm
  • Lead and manage the Vietnam Talent Management team, setting high standards and values, and embedding shared values of collaboration, creative thinking and client service across the team
  • Evaluate existing Talent Management and human resources policies and then develop / formalize Vietnam policies (consistent with regulatory requirements) to ensure appropriate consistency and incorporation of best practices
  • Evaluate existing Talent Management and human resources practices in Vietnam and implement practice improvements (consistent with regulatory requirements) to streamline processes, eliminate duplication of effort, and, where feasible, reduce expense
  • Partner closely with our Specialist People functions (Leadership & Learning, Careers & Performance, Recruitment & Mobility, Diversity & Inclusion) to jointly deliver best-in-class solutions for Vietnam that deliver on our ambition to be the law firm employer of choice and deliver against the requirements of the business
  • Play a critical role in influencing, identifying and maximising opportunities to improve performance and potential capability of the Firm, enabling employees to deliver to the best of their abilities and work towards the next steps in their careers
  • Drive organisational change and improvement across human resources, performance management and compensation, workforce planning, career development and succession planning via the Talent Management business partner network in the Firm
  • Serve as lead Vietnam Talent Management contact for office leadership regarding sensitive people issues and work with AP Director of Talent Management, the Vietnam Talent Management team and internal employment counsel to resolve complex human resources / talent management issues and sensitive employee relations issues

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree focusing on Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Development, Management, or other related areas
  • Extensive experience in HR / Talent management, preferably in a professional services firm environment
  • Experience of leading large HR / Talent Management teams across multiple offices and jurisdictions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact and influence at the highest levels of the Firm
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required
  • Ability to implement success in creating an environment of trust with partners; effectively utilize negotiation and conflict resolution skills when needed
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and drive results with a sense of urgency in setting strategies and executing against the objectives
  • Proven ability to influence, interact and consult with senior leaders, strong collaboration skills and effective stakeholder management
  • Strong coaching, counselling, business acumen, and overall communication skills
