Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a global company specializing in the development and manufacturing of medical devices. Our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Director to lead and drive the transformation of its manufacturing operations in the Philippines.
This role will be instrumental in advancing operational excellence, optimizing manufacturing performance, and building a high-performing organization. The successful candidate will lead the development of scalable processes, systems, and organizational capabilities while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and accountability. As the organization continues to evolve and grow, the Manufacturing Director will play a key leadership role in shaping operational strategy, developing talent, and ensuring sustainable business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are consistently achieved.
- Drive operational excellence initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, and manufacturing performance.
- Provide strong leadership and direction to manufacturing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Design and implement scalable processes, organizational structures, and operating systems to support business growth.
- Develop and mentor manufacturing leaders and frontline teams, building capabilities across the organization.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align manufacturing priorities with business objectives.
- Lead problem-solving efforts related to production, quality, capacity, and operational challenges.
- Establish and monitor key performance metrics to drive operational performance and business results.
- Support organizational change initiatives and effectively navigate evolving business requirements.
- Champion quality, innovation, integrity, accountability, and respect throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- 10-15 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including senior-level plant or manufacturing operations management.
- Proven experience in high-mix, fast-paced manufacturing environments with frequent changeovers and production variability.
- Strong operational leadership with substantial shop-floor manufacturing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results through people, coaching, mentoring, and leadership development.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance operational priorities and commercial objectives.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Experience creating and implementing manufacturing processes, systems, and organizational structures.
- Ability to lead within a dynamic and evolving organization.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
