Manufacturing Manager (Food Manufacturing)

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the snack production operations across three plants (PR, CA, and SP). This role involves setting the strategic direction for the snack division, ensuring operational efficiency, driving performance improvement, and maintaining rigorous food safety and quality standards (HACCP/GMP) across all sites. The Manufacturing Manager plays a critical role in achieving production targets, optimizing resources, and ensuring customer satisfaction through consistent product delivery

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic direction for the operations of the identified plants, aligning with the organization's overall goals and objectives
  • Provide guidance to Plant Managers and their teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Evaluate plant performance metrics (productivity, quality, cost, and delivery) and implement measures to ensure targets are met or exceeded
  • Implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices across all plants, ensuring full compliance with HACCP, GMP, and relevant food safety regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance to drive process improvements, resolve technical issues, and support new product introductions
  • Drive the implementation of lean manufacturing principles, cost reduction initiatives, and the adoption of advanced technologies to improve operational efficiency
  • Assess and design plant structures, roles, and responsibilities to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Mentor Plant Managers for professional growth


Job Specifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Licensed) or Food Technology
  • Minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience in manufacturing, managing multiple plants or large-scale facilities, preferably within the Snack or FMCG industry
  • Strong expertise in manufacturing principles, lean optimization, and quality management systems (HACCP/GMP).
  • Proven ability to inspire teams, build strong relationships, and foster a culture of accountability across multiple locations
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze production data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
  • Strategic thinking ability to align plant operations with overall business goals and customer expectations.
