Award winning Executive recruitment company, Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of an international non-life insurance company in Thailand. The organization is recognized in providing non-life insurance products in Thailand. They are looking for an experience Marine Claims Manager to manage and process claims related to marine claims and other insurance policies.
This role will be responsible for managing and processing insurance claims across Marine and other insurance policies.
Job Responsibilities
1. Claim Assessment & Settlement
Manage claim notifications, registration, coverage verification, and documentation in accordance with internal and regulatory requirements.
Conduct claim investigations, including damage inspections, fact-finding, and appointment of loss adjusters/appraisers where required.
Negotiate and authorize fair settlements in line with policy terms and investigation findings.
Process claim payments upon settlement approval.
2. Fraud Detection & Prevention
Identify potential fraudulent claims through analysis of inconsistencies and red flags.
Coordinate with internal/external investigators and legal teams on suspected fraud cases.
3. Cost Control & Recovery
Identify recovery opportunities from clients, third parties, and salvage to minimize loss severity.
Manage timely recording and recovery of reinsurance claims.
Implement effective claims and loss control measures to minimize financial exposure.
4. Claims Administration & Communication
Monitor and maintain accurate claim reserves and records.
Ensure claim decisions and rejections comply with authority levels and required procedures.
Keep clients, claimants, and brokers informed of claim progress.
Handle and escalate disputes or complaints when necessary.
5. Other Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve cost efficiency, governance, and customer experience.
Analyze claims data to identify trends, emerging risks, and large-loss impacts.
Prepare management reports and reporting packs.
Maintain catastrophe management plans and coordinate resources for major loss events.
Maintain accurate records of claim-related decisions.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Relevant years of experience in Marine, Casualty & Financial Lines, and other insurance claims.
Strong knowledge of claims handling, compliance, and insurance policies.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail with sound judgment in claim assessment and settlement.
Ability to manage multiple claims and work effectively with internal teams and external parties.
Experience in fraud detection, investigation, and escalation.
Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and claims practices.
