Monroe Consulting Group, an award-winning executive recruitment firm, is partnering with a well-established multinational manufacturer specializing in highly engineered electronic products to recruit an experienced Material Planning Manager to lead the planning and materials management function at a large-scale manufacturing facility. This role is based in Ayutthaya, Thailand.
This leadership role is responsible for driving end-to-end planning strategies, ensuring material availability, and aligning customer demand with production capacity to achieve operational excellence. This position offers the opportunity to lead a team of planning professionals while partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance planning efficiency, inventory performance, and on-time delivery.
Job Responsibilities
Act as the primary coordinator and "middle person" across major departments-interfacing between Customers/Program Management, Procurement, Production Control, Quality Control, Engineering, and Sales.
Oversee the development of Master Production Schedules (MPS). Monitor line loading and sequencing across SMT, assembly, and testing.
Lead MRP processes to ensure high component availability. Analyze raw material requirements to provide precise directives to the purchasing and procurement teams.
Directly engage with customers and commercial teams to validate forecast accuracy, manage demand shifts, and align on product specifications.
Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and Pull Systems to drive root-cause analysis for fulfilment issues and optimize working capital.
Maintain and optimize ERP master data parameters (BOM, lead times, safety stocks) to elevate overall planning efficiency.
Job Requirements
Academic background in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven years of robust planning/materials management experience within the EMS sector. Experience supporting medical device manufacturing is highly preferred.
Proven track record of leading, developing, and managing multi-functional teams (managing other managers).
Advanced mastery of MRP/MPS systems, inventory control (RM/WIP/FG), Lean Six Sigma tools, and Pull Systems.
Excellent, fluent command of English (written and spoken).
Possess leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple business functions.
