Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading Multinational Engineering Consultancies company. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 15-20 years' experience in power plant projects for the job of MEP Manager. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Report directly to the Director
- Lead and develop the MEP engineering team, ensuring high technical standards and project delivery quality.
- Manage resource planning, team utilization, and technical capability development.
- Provide technical leadership for complex MEP design projects from concept through construction support.
- Ensure designs comply with local regulations, international standards, and company quality procedures.
- Coordinate closely with Project Managers, architects, structural engineers, process engineers, and external stakeholders.
- Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Support proposal preparation, project planning, budgeting, and client presentations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients while identifying new business opportunities.
- Mentor and coach engineers to strengthen technical expertise and career development.
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering standards, digital engineering practices, and quality management systems.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (Master's degree is an advantage)
- Minimum 12 years of experience in MEP engineering and project delivery.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong experience in power plant projects is essential.
- Experience in industrial sectors such as manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, data centres, food & beverage, chemicals, oil & gas, renewable energy, or other heavy industries is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical systems, and industrial utilities.
- Experience delivering projects throughout the full engineering lifecycle.
- Familiarity with BIM/Revit, AutoCAD, and engineering design software.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian regulations and international engineering codes and standards.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Professional proficiency in English.
