Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading producer of quality baked products in the country. Our client is looking for a Physical Distribution Assistant Manager - Visayas & Mindanao to oversee and optimize warehouse and transportation operations across the region, ensuring efficient product movement, inventory accuracy, cost-effective distribution, and high service levels.
This is an onsite position, Monday to Saturday, based in Cagayan de Oro City (CDO).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and supervision of warehouse and transportation activities across Visayas and Mindanao.
- Monitor inventory levels, identify stock discrepancies, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure efficient movement and timely delivery of finished goods from warehouses to customers and distribution points.
- Liaise closely with Procurement, Production, Sales, and other relevant teams to ensure a seamless flow of goods.
- Oversee the performance of third-party logistics (3PL) providers and ensure compliance with agreed service levels and operational standards.
- Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities to improve distribution efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Analyze distribution, inventory, and transportation data and provide actionable recommendations to management.
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse and logistics personnel to achieve operational and service-level objectives.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse and distribution operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across physical distribution operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- More than 5 years of experience in physical distribution, logistics, or warehouse management, preferably within the manufacturing or FMCG industry.
- Strong experience in warehouse operations, transportation management, inventory control, and 3PL management.
- Experience managing and developing logistics or warehouse teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Good understanding of distribution KPIs, logistics costs, and operational efficiency.
- SAP experience is highly preferred.
- Willing to be based onsite in Cagayan de Oro City and work Monday to Saturday.
