Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering and design services company specializing in piping systems for industrial projects. Our client is seeking a Piping Designer who will be responsible for preparing and developing piping layouts, drawings, and designs using CAD software, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.
The role will involve both office‑based design work and occasional site visits to support project execution.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and prepare piping design drawings using AutoCAD and Plant 3D.
- Interpret and apply Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) into accurate layouts.
- Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, codes, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to support construction, operation, and maintenance requirements.
- Conduct site visits and field work to verify design accuracy and gather project data.
- Revise and update drawings based on markups, feedback, and project changes.
- Maintain proper documentation and drawing records for project deliverables
Key requirements:
- Diploma in Drafting Technology or Industrial Technology
- At least 2-3 years of experience preferably in Piping Draftsman or equivalent
- Specialized certification in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Certified Professional) or piping design can provide a significant competitive edge
- Ability to interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams and Process Flow Diagrams
- Familiarity with Piping Components
