Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a well-established chemical manufacturing company in the Philippines specializing in the production of activated carbon, particularly coconut shell-based granular activated carbon used for filtration and purification applications. Our client is currently seeking a highly qualified Plant Manager with solid experience in activated carbon manufacturing or extensive exposure to rotary kilns and furnace operations. This role requires an on-site work arrangement based in El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental, Mindanao.

Job Summary
The Plant Manager will oversee the overall plant operations, ensuring optimal efficiency, productivity, product quality, and workplace safety while meeting operational and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all plant operations to ensure efficient production and the timely achievement of operational requirements within approved budgets and schedules.
  • Maintain high product quality standards through effective quality management systems involving both internal operations and external suppliers.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage the plant's operational budget while ensuring proper cost control and resource utilization.
  • Prepare and report financial results related to cost center budgets, project expenditures, and repair and maintenance costs.
  • Ensure that plant facilities and infrastructure adequately support operational efficiency, reliability, and safety standards.
  • Support the development and execution of long-term operational strategies focused on plant growth, process improvement, and innovation.
  • Establish performance objectives, provide continuous coaching and feedback, and promote the professional development of employees.
  • Lead safety initiatives by conducting risk assessments, implementing preventive measures, and ensuring employees receive proper safety training.


Key Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or any related field; Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within activated carbon
  • Can accept candidates coming from the Cement Industry.
  • Must have strong experience in handling rotary kilns or furnaces.
  • production or similar chemical and industrial processing operations.
  • Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills.
