Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with an organisation in the Healthcare industry to hire a Product Manager (Analytical Chemistry). This opportunity is based in Malaysia.

Position Overview

The Product Manager, Analytical Chemistry is responsible for defining product vision, setting strategy, and driving execution to deliver value for both customers and the business. This role plays a key part in identifying market opportunities, driving commercial success, and ensuring effective product positioning and portfolio growth.

Key Responsibilities



1. Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define the product vision, roadmap, and goals aligned with company objectives.
  • Understand market trends, customer needs, and business priorities.
  • Make strategic trade-offs to balance long-term goals with short-term needs.


2. Market & Customer Research

  • Conduct or collaborate on market research, competitor analysis, and user feedback.
  • Identify customer pain points, unmet needs, and opportunities for innovation.
  • Define buyer personas and target segments.
  • Deep understanding of target market and consumer behaviour.


3. Requirements & Roadmap Planning

  • Translate business needs into product requirements and user stories.
  • Prioritise features based on impact, effort, and alignment with strategy.
  • Develop and maintain a clear product roadmap.
  • Ability to launch new products and develop a portfolio strategy.


4. Cross-functional Collaboration

Work closely with:

  • Account holder & Sales Manager - to ensure technical feasibility and timely delivery.
  • Sales & Marketing - to support go-to-market strategy, positioning, and messaging.
  • Customer Support & Success - to gather post-launch feedback and ensure satisfaction.


5. Performance Tracking & Iteration

  • Define and monitor KPIs (e.g., adoption, retention, revenue).
  • Analyse data to assess product performance and user behaviour.
  • Drive continuous improvement based on insights and feedback.


6. Stakeholder Communication

  • Keep internal stakeholders informed on progress, timelines, and changes.
  • Serve as the voice of the product in the organisation.
  • Present product updates to leadership and get buy-in on critical decisions.

Key Requirements



Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Science, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in product management, product marketing, sales, or business development.
  • Experience working with scientific, laboratory, healthcare, or technical products is an added advantage.


Technical / Functional Expertise

  • Ability to define product vision, roadmap, and goals aligned with business objectives.
  • Strong understanding of market trends, customer needs, and business priorities.
  • Experience in market research, competitor analysis, customer feedback collection, and buyer persona development.
  • Ability to identify customer pain points, unmet needs, and opportunities for innovation.
  • Experience translating business needs into product requirements and user stories.
  • Proven ability to prioritise features and maintain a product roadmap.
  • Ability to launch new products and develop a portfolio strategy.
  • Experience supporting go-to-market strategy, product positioning, and messaging.
  • Ability to define, monitor, and analyse KPIs, including adoption, retention, and revenue metrics.
  • Strong data analysis capabilities with the ability to assess product performance and user behaviour.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyse data effectively and present insights and product messages in a clear and concise manner.
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
