Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with an organisation in the Healthcare industry to hire a Product Specialist. This role is responsible for driving business growth through strategic stakeholder engagement and effective territory management. It directly contributes to expanding treatment access, increasing product adoption, and strengthening market presence. This opportunity is based in Johor Bahru.

Key Responsibilities

  • To establish strong relationships with external stakeholders to drive quality care and Best practice, expansion of treatment access for patients and endorsement for the company's product.
  • Actively contribute to the team in identifying opportunities for business growth, development of business plan and production of suitable educational and promotional materials.
  • Commercially responsible for development of the business in a specific geographic area by building influential relationships amongst all external stakeholders in the treatment community, and driving education, appropriate usage and adoption of the company's product.
  • The role requires effective customer segmentation, targeting and prioritisation combined with time management to ensure efficient territory management and delivery of KPIs.
  • The role is expected to actively contribute to the business plan by providing insights and learning from the market to assist in identifying opportunities of growth.
  • The role encompasses the building of awareness, empathy and expanding treatment access, and driving awareness, education and appropriate usage of the company's product (Business Growth) amongst external stakeholders.

Key Requirements


Qualifications & Experience

  • Preferably with minimum 1-2 year experience in the pharmaceutical and medical devices industry
  • Experience in the therapeutic area relevant to Obstetrics & Gynaecology or Orthopaedics is preferred

Technical / Functional Expertise

  • Demonstrate an ability to absorb technical knowledge quickly and disseminate appropriately to all levels of healthcare professionals
  • Experience in customer segmentation, targeting and territory management
  • Ability to contribute to business planning and development of educational and promotional materials

Soft Skills & Leadership Competencies

  • Independent with minimum supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with empathy, with a track record of building long-standing influential Key Opinion Leader relationships
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential; additional languages are advantageous
  • Effective time management and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Possession of a valid driving licence and access to a car
