Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with an organisation within the Industrial industry to hire a Regional Project Engineer. This opportunity is based in Selangor, Malaysia.
Position Overview
This role is responsible for executing industrial process plant projects from engineering through commissioning while ensuring alignment with quality, cost, and schedule targets.
The position has a direct impact on project delivery excellence, cross‑functional coordination, and client satisfaction across regional operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and monitor project planning ensuring to perform the actions required to be in time with planned schedule. Solve and clarify internal constrain and propose mitigation plan.
- Coordinate internal engineering team in respect of company workflow and Client requirement, being the main interface to external stakeholders.
- Prepare progress report and control project budget.
- Actively coordinate/cooperate with purchasing team during procurement phase, ensuring technical and commercial evaluation are aligned with contract obligation and contract budget.
- Actively cooperate with quality team and Workshop during fabrication phase.
- Actively cooperate with logistic team and Client during delivery phase.
- Follow up Client construction coordinating company site visit/activity.
- Follow up commissioning until project closure.
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
- 1-5 years of experience as a project engineer in an industrial field
Technical / Functional Expertise
- Process plant design and project execution exposure
- Familiarity with main engineering documents and drawings (P&ID, layout, mechanical drawings)
- Knowledge of industrial codes and standards
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Project is preferred
