Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of one of the largest multinational bank in the Philippines. Our respected client is seeking a banking professional for the job of Regulatory Manager who is well versed in functions related to the Bank Regulatory Compliance. The job is based in BGC, Taguig City.

Job Summary:

The Regulatory Manager shall assist the Head of Department/CO in carrying out the Regulatory functions in accordance with the Compliance Program of the bank.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Keep track of the latest legal and regulatory issuances, interprets their applicability to branch's operations/ business, and promote the effective implementation of these requirements through timely dissemination to concerned/identified departments.
  • Carry out compliance risk assessments, form the branch's risk profile, and assist the management in identifying and preventing the occurrence of compliance risk.
  • Formulate and update internal policies on Compliance in accordance with the latest regulatory and H.O. requirements.
  • Develop and deliver compliance guidance and education programs within the branch.
  • Independently summarize, document and assess the compliance risks associated with the business activities, consider ways to measure compliance risks and use various compliance programs/tools to enhance compliance risk control.
  • Review and assess Compliance Testing Program, and conduct periodic testing or validation of the general self-assessment checklist of the branch's respective departments to ensure their effectiveness in controlling and mitigating compliance risk.
  • Work with other risk control functions to be more effective, efficient and consistent.
  • Assist in facilitating BSP's conduct of regular and/or special examination, PDIC's periodic audit, and internal/external audits of Compliance Department including the preparation of response to observations/findings, if any.
  • Prepare report/s to Senior Management (including CO), H.O., and local regulators on compliance-related matters, including annual plan and accomplishment of the department.

Key job requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Management, Law or Finance.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience on compliance, AML, legal areas, risk management or auditing.
  • Fluent in English, both in written and oral communication.
  • Shall have a working experience in internal control and compliance, risk management or relevant fields.
  • Shall be familiar with local regulatory rules and requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of banking products and services.
  • Strong local regulatory relationship management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint and other office software.
