Retail Operations Manager
Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group's Consumer Goods Division is recruiting on behalf an established fashion and jewellery company. Our client is looking for an esteemed Retail Operations Manager. Reporting to the Market Manager the Retail Operations Manager is responsible for the retail sales operation and co-ordinate with marketing and product planning to achieve or excel annual sales budget and profitability of all assigned retail outlets.
Responsibilities:
- Hold accountable for annual business and operation plan of all assigned retail outlets.
- Lead the retail / shop supervisors by following the clear and measurable targets and KPIs under the direction and guidance of the company to ensure successful implementation.
- Ensure excellent and smooth retail operation such as stock-taking, inventory control, cash management and POS system in accordance to the company policies and procedures
- Ensure all shops providing high service quality and consistent shop appearance at all times.
- Advise the management about the current results and future forecast regarding Malaysia retail business.
- Work closely with product planning team, and provide inputs to optimise on product assortment and quantity to achieve sales, gross profit and stock turnover target of the shop assigned.
- Work closely with marketing team on all marketing promotion and activities.
- Manage and supervise and deal with the overall staff matters including but not limited to recruitment, staff training, performance appraisal and disciplinary issues.
- Coach and motivate sales team to achieve sales target.
- Build and maintain sales team spirit and provide counselling when necessary.
- Participate in management meetings and able to provide info on Malaysia retail market.
- Participate in all ad hoc tasks including new shop opening, events and fairs.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in any discipline
- Minimum 8 years managerial experience in retail shop operation function.
- Working experience in premium, affordable luxury or luxury fashion & accessories preferred.
- Must possess strong leadership skill and people management skill
- Strong passion in retail management with entrepreneur mind-set
- Hands-on with strong execution capability
- Good interpersonal skills
- Independent, resourceful with a high level of integrity.
- Mature and presentable.
