Senior Sales Market Development Executive

Executive Recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group's Technology division is currently recruiting on behalf of a global academic publishing organisation. Our distinguished client is currently seeking for a senior sales market development executive with at least 5 years' experience within the IT training industry across SEA.

The winning candidate will manage relationships with the marketing team. The candidate will be the key advisor and consultant, developing and driving sales & marketing campaigns, and implementing robust measurement solutions to ensure success. Furthermore, help shape how customers uses our content and help establish the vision for marketing efforts. Moreover, be responsible for selling & marketing our digital content as well as help drive customer narratives in the market.

Job responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the growth of our business mainland China, customer base in Central Asia and Pacific Islands
    • Pacific Islands (new and renewal)
    • Central Asia (new and renewal)
    • China - Western province excluding Sichuan and Chongqing (new business only)
  • You will positively impact business metrics including customer retention, business growth attainment, and customer reference ability through excellent customer relationship management, knowledge, team-work, and programmatic engagement
  • You will be a highly driven business professional who is prepared to support our customers, operate in a highly entrepreneurial environment, and be comfortable navigating ambiguity
  • You will be a leader and will leverage knowledge of our offerings to become a trusted advisor to our customer base
  • Guide librarians through the value proposition to unlock the full value of content, and built good relationships with our customers and agents
  • Partner with other Partner Success, Library Renewals & Field Sales reps and Sales marketing teams to develop strategic sales & marketing plans that help customers achieve their business objectives
  • Use of data on MsCRM and Salesforce to help answer important questions about our customers. The role must use these insights will help reduce customer attrition and create customer loyalty metrics

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with experience or equivalent practical experience in data science 5 years of customer-facing experience, interfacing with executives and driving customer transformation programs
  • Experience navigating customer organizational structures, defining milestones, success criteria and on-time delivery
  • Ability to work within constraints as well as to challenge the status quo
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and being a part of deeply complex strategy discussions
  • Meticulous with attention to details
  • Effective verbal & written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with senior leaders and a variety of stakeholders. Must be fluent in both English or any of the Central Asian languages and Mandarin
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyse data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis
  • Results driven and rational decision making
  • Knowledge of academic ecosystem preferred
  • Frequent travel is required and be confident to interact across all levels of management
  • Strong enablement towards teaching & enablement
