Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, through its Industrial division in Malaysia, is partnering with an organisation in the Industrial sector to hire a Specification Executive. This opportunity supports a diversified global leader in high‑performance building materials and is focused on construction and design projects within the Central Region of Malaysia.
Position Overview
This role is responsible for driving product specification by building strong relationships with architects, designers, developers, and key project stakeholders.
It directly contributes to project pipeline growth, distributor collaboration, and brand presence within the regional construction market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts such as architects, interior designers, developers, and other specifiers to ensure the organisation's products are specified in projects
- Build, manage, and maintain a robust project pipeline, ensuring accurate tracking and regular updates within the CRM system
- Report and manage all relevant data, including project records, customer files, daily visit logs, and sales activities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential customers within the market
- Collaborate closely with distributor partners to convert specification projects into confirmed orders
- Execute sales and marketing strategies as defined by the management team
- Gather, analyse, and report market intelligence, including competitor activities and market trends
- Conduct effective product presentations and demonstrations, and provide technical advice to ensure customer satisfaction
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a specification‑related role
Technical / Functional Expertise
- Ability to confidently present building material products to professional stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems, particularly Salesforce
- Experience managing project pipelines and maintaining accurate CRM records
