Tax Manager - Logistics Services (based in Jakarta)
Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading national company with a core focus on logistics services. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 10-15 years' experience in tax for the job of Tax Manager - Logistics Services (based in Jakarta). The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Key job responsibilities include:

  • Reporting to the CFO, he or she will work closely with the Finance & Accounting Manager as well as with other Divisional Manager to ensure tax compliance & tax planning are well executed.
  • Supervising tax team to complete various tax filing in Indonesia on timely and accurate basis;
  • Delivering tax compliance guideline to local management and prepare tax budget;
  • Implementing regular tax internal control campaign with the management and with other division to improve tax awareness on risk control;
  • Keep update on the practical tax compliance guidance;
  • Support on statutory audit with local auditors on tax matters
  • Liaising with tax consultant in preparing and putting in place Transfer Pricing documentations for annual intercompany transaction reporting;
  • Support CFO to perform assessment of the key intercompany transactions, evaluate risk and propose alternatives to mitigate TP risk;
  • Advise the CFO for the most tax efficient way for intercompany transactions and ensure the documentation are put in place before invoicing;
  • Keeping ahead of the curve and update changes on tax rules and regulations and timely communicate to various stakeholders, assess their impact and suggest actions to mitigate the risk and tap into potential planning opportunities;
  • Identification and mitigation of any tax risks and exposures
  • Coordination of tax audit to avoid unexpected or unacceptable reputational damages or tax exposures including targeting a more accurate tax provision;
  • Liaising with local tax authorities for overall tax governance in Indonesia

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum a Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance / Fiscal from a reputable university
  • Having an excellent understanding of the Indonesian tax regulations including corporate income tax, withholding tax and value added tax;
  • He/she should have between 8 to 10 years of total of work experience in the tax domain.
  • He/she should have 3 to 5 years in a top 10 tax consulting firm
  • He/she should have 3 to 5 years in a multinational company with similar industry.
  • Having experience in handling tax disputes (tax audit, tax objection or tax appeal) would be an advantage;
  • Fluency in English is a must;
  • Holding a tax consulting certificate would be a plus;
