Commodity Trading Manager is responsible for leading international trading activities across global markets, including sourcing new business opportunities, developing supplier and buyer relationships, leading commercial negotiations, and overseeing end-to-end trading operations across overseas markets. Highly entrepreneurial, commercially driven, and experienced in handling cross-border trading transactions independently, from sourcing and negotiation through to deal execution and delivery coordination.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and expand international trading business across overseas markets.
- Identify new suppliers, buyers, and trading opportunities globally.
- Lead commercial negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract arrangements.
- Manage end-to-end trading operations including sourcing, execution, shipment coordination, and delivery timelines.
- Monitor market trends, pricing movement, and business opportunities to maximize profitability.
- Analyze trading performance, profit margins, and sales activities to support business growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international partners and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth trading operations.
- Support strategic expansion initiatives and new market development.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in international trading, commodity trading, or cross-border commercial operations.
- Strong experience handling overseas-to-overseas trading activities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business acumen and ownership mentality.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Experience managing suppliers and buyers across multiple countries.
- Good understanding of import/export and international trade processes.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
