Executive recruitment company, Monroe Consulting Group Thailand is recruiting on behalf of the real estate developing company in Easter part of Thailand. The company operates multiple real estate projects in Chonburi and Rayong province. Our respected client is seeking an experienced Accounting and Finance Manager, with the main task to manage financial health and accounting transaction of the company. The job is based in Rayong, Thailand.

The role of Accounting and Finance Manager is responsible for managing company’s financial and accounting activities and other day to day operations, such as costing, tax, legal regulations, financial report, and month end accounts. He or she should be familiar with properties business before

Job responsibilities

  • Oversee and participate in the month-end close process, ensuring all journal entries, account analyses, and reconciliations are completed and reviewed on a monthly basis 
  • Review financial statements to ensure they are issued in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Review of all system-prepared schedules to ensure all items reconcile accordingly
  • Review of management fee calculations for accuracy
  • Review of variance explanations provided by accountant for completeness, accuracy, and clarity
  • Develop and maintain an effective control environment over areas of responsibility, including G/L accounting, fixed assets, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Review of bank reconciliations to ensure all reconciling items are cleared
  • Communicate with Managing Director to ensure he or she is informed of all activities and potential concerns.
  • Meets all deadlines and due dates for monthly financial reports, quarterly and annual.
  • Support the information needs of the corporate departments that are responsible for legal collection efforts, real property tax assessments, payroll processing, lease initiatives and financing due diligence.
  • Assist property management with accounting related inquiries and special projects as needed.
  • Review of the financial portion of annual budget packages to ensure that they are issued in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Review financial statements to ensure they are issued in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participation in Accounting Management meetings regarding policies, processes, procedures, and performance.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in accounting and finance role in real estate industry experience; superior mathematical skills; leadership skills and experience
  • Ability to prepare and analyze detailed financial statements and information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • CPD required
