Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia’s Technology Division is recruiting on behalf of the global leader in door opening solutions that manufacture and sell mechanical and electromechanical locks, digital door locks, high-security doors and fittings. Our esteemed client is seeking to recruit an experienced and well-rounded Application Manager. The successful incumbent will be reporting directly to the APAC Chief Information Officer.

The Applications Manager is responsible to manage and support the E-Commerce and Product Data Management applications as well as various integrations with the other systems. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing external contractors and partners for the organization and department. The position requires travelling within the APAC region.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Manage and support the related divisional E-Commerce applications and integrations across the APAC division.
  • Design, develop and implement improvements to the divisional applications.
  • Define, document and implement processes, structures and tools to ensure high quality of service.
  • Defining and implementing monitoring, logging, event-handling etc. to ensure high quality of service.
  • Manage the external contractors and partners.
  • Manage budgets and costs for the Application Management applications, services, licenses and organisation.
  • Participate in IT projects across the APAC division and collaborate other divisions within the company.
  • Report on incidents, KPIs, projects, budgets etc. to the APAC IT Director and other stakeholders.
  • Actively involves with the APAC IT Organisation to liaise with external partners, internal IT teams, internal Business stakeholders.

Key job requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (min.)
  • Five years’ experience in related fields with exposure in Multinational Company.
  • Senior IT person with good business knowledge and experience from international companies within manufacturing, retail and sales.
  • Must have deep experience with current versions of one or more leading e-commerce platforms such as Magento and IBM Websphere. Experience with Product
  • Information Management systems such as Informatica, Riversand to support the e-commerce platform would be preferred.
  • Experience with integration platforms such as Dell Boomi, Webmethods, Biztalk
  • Experience with implementation and operation of larger IT projects is required including design, development, testing, integrations etc.
  • Must have good IT management competences and be familiar with ITIL and project management methods - PMP, Sure Step or similar. Experience with global IT strategies, standards and documentation is required.
  • Clear in communication and reporting and fluent in English writing and speaking.
  • Travel will be required at a level of 3-6 times per year for 3-5 days per trip.
