Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a multinational pharmaceutical company. Our respected client is seeking a professional with a strong background in Brand Marketing and Product Management for the job of Brand Manager for Cardiovascular. The job is based in BGC, Taguig City, Philippines. 

Job summary:

The Brand Manager is responsible for providing product development, marketing plans, promotional strategies, launch plans, and market analysis of all the products being promoted in the Business Unit. The position ensures that the marketing plans implemented are in accordance with the strategies to achieve the sales objective of the Business unit and within the approved budget. It ensures correlation of SFE metrics is considered in crafting the strategies of the brand. He/she will be reporting to the Group Brand Manager.

Key job responsibilities include: 

  • Achieves annual sales budget within approved promotional expenses budget
  • Achieves annual sales budget of assigned products
  • Allocates appropriately advertising and materials budget on the key business drivers; manages total product budget
  • Prepares annual Marketing Plan for the assigned product. The Market Plan normally contains the annual forecast, promotional budget, and promotional strategies of each product in the job responsibility
  • Develops and implements promotional campaigns, materials, and activities aligned with the objectives and key strategies
  • Ensures contingency measures to anticipate changes in the market dynamics
  • Monitors the implementation of all promotional activities as planned within the agreed time frame
  • Acquires market information concerning competitors, market situation and utilize information to improve sales and marketing activities

  • Prepares forecast for each assigned brand based on anticipated and product activities
  • Manages inventory level of each product SKU. Prepares disposition plan on NEX stocks and contingency measures for out of stocks situation
  • Develops and maintains a pool of KOLs
  • Trains and assess the Product Knowledge training needs of medical representatives on the product to enable them to be effective and efficient
  • Assesses the impact of programs and ensures achievement of desired outcomes and develops remedial actions and decides necessary adjustments on programs
  • Handles life-cycle management
  • Coordinates with Medical, Regulatory, SFE, Finance, HR on marketing related activities
  • Manages relationship with principals and closely liaise with regional counterparts
  • Ensures alignment with internal and external policies and regulations

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Business. MBA Degree is an advantage    
  • Seven Years (min.) experience in product management in a pharmaceutical market
  • Must have good exposure in managing Cardiovascular brands
  • Must have good presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Must be competent in Marketing Strategic Planning, Marketing Execution, and Communication, and in Product Knowledge/Industry Acumen
  • Must have customer relations, collaborative working relationship with customers, peers, and other departments, cross-functional influencing
  • Must have business leadership/acumen, coaching, and leadership
  • Must be Computer literate, self-motivated and creative
