Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Thailand is recruiting on behalf of an international packaging solution provider. Our respected client is seeking a professional with over 10 years of beverage and diary key account management experience to lead an F&B packaging business in Thailand as the Business Development and Key Account Director. This job is a dependent role with a flexible working location.

This position is primarily focused on new business acquisition and may require the incumbent to spend most of their time working with the specified sectors to keep track of changing market trends and customer requirements. This position will not be responsible for routine account management. This is a direct, customer-facing sales role, responsible for closing new revenue opportunities with both new and existing customers.

Job responsibilities:

  • Accountable for new business development in the beverage and diary manufacturing industry in Thailand
  • Work with the regional teams to create a business development strategy for the food and beverage sector
  • Plan sales, deploy sales forces, conduct global sales meetings, take up on tough accounts, build relationships with loyal and voluminous accounts, formulate competitive strategies, and promote customer retention programs nation-wide
  • Identify potentials and the decision makers within the client’s organisations 
  • Research and build relationships with new markets 
  • Develop proposals that address client’s needs, concerns, and objectives, lead in pricing solutions/services and obtain proposal approval
  • Lead strategic customer meetings, including quarterly review meetings with partners & key customers 
  • Prioritise according to A/B/C customer segmentation and focus on bigger potentials
  • Manage existing business, delivering plans on sales and profits 
  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships

Job requirements:

  • A degree in Food Science, Engineering, or Business-related degree
  • Master’s or advanced degree desired but not essential
  • Sales and key account management experience with successful background in B2B sales with experience selling to FMCG (including food & beverage)
  • Experience in field sales, customer marketing, and/or category management in addition to knowledge of working with key or strategic accounts
  • High sense of drive and urgency, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Experienced in planning and executing projects, proven problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficient in managing time with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently as well as thrive in a cooperative work environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
