Executive recruitment company, Monroe Consulting Group Thailand is recruiting on behalf of one of the leading clean energy solution providers in Asia. Our respected client is seeking a professional who is well grasp in energy project development for Country Business Development position in energy construction industry. This job is based in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Business Development Manager will handle project sales and business development activities. The candidate will be developing new business with manufacturers that consume lots energy, targeting F&B and other energy intensive manufacturers. He or she will develop and execute sales and relationship management strategy to increase business in Thailand Market’s.

Job Responsibilities

  • Accountable for new business development among multinational corporations and qualified local companies for long-term power and/or thermal energy supply agreements and solutions, as well as maintain key business relationships with existing clients and channels.
  • Continuously focus on sales growth execution and sales target achievement through proposal and pre-contract stage of new business.
  • Understand client’s decision making processes, needs and requirements.
  • Initiate and lead feasibility studies for the clients.
  • Prepare the proposal, presentation and the offer for clients and follow-up towards contract initiation
  • Presenting and offering products and services to prospective clients and convincing the clients on our solutions.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals and optimize market share.
  • Identify and approach potential clients in different industries and also identify and approach new qualified channel partners in different industries.
  • Work with internal teams (finance, technical, and biomass) on feasibility studies, preparation of proposals and presentations.
  • Remain abreast with the changes within energy conservation policy and other relevant regulatory affairs to determine the impact on the environment, business and assess potential opportunities.

Job Requirements

  • Good command over English language, both spoken and written.
  • Extensive years of working experience in sales and business development towards manufacturing industries.
  • Exposure to clean or sustainable energy solution providing industry will be advantage, ideally biomass, biogas, thermal, or solar energy.
  • Engineering background preferred but not essential
  • Good understanding of the clients’ manufacturing processes, energy requirements, and emissions reduction targets.
  • High sense of drive and urgency, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Experienced in planning and executing projects, proven problem-solving capabilities
  • A good network of contacts with the decision-making units (DMU) of multinational corporations such as the Engineering or Technical, Environmental or Sustainability, and/or Purchasing team is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in managing time with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently as well as thrive in a cooperative work environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
