Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational company with a core focus on manufacturing packaging. 

The Business Development Manager will work closely with the General Manager and Regional Sales Head in Hong Kong. This position will develop a new market in the consumer goods and pharmaceutical industries.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develop a new market in consumer goods and pharmaceuticals
  • Increase sales revenue by getting at least 2 new customers annually 
  • Increase sales value at least 5% for the first year from new customers
  • Control sales departments to ensure targets are achieved 
  • Monitor and take action on cost efficiency and effectiveness while attaining growing sales results
  • Provide status reports (orally and written) 
  • Guide, supervise and mentor all human resources within the team 
  • Prepare the groundwork preparation, carrying out market surveys (such as listing down potential clients), developing products, building up the organisation, and getting details ready for initial sales activities 
  • Handle operational activities, covering different sectors of customer service (installation, design consultation, etc.) as part of extended consumer services, serving the targeted market

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or any related major from a reputable university
  • Master degree in Management, Marketing or Business will be an advantage
  • 15-20 years’ experience in field sales and marketing
  • Demonstrated levels of performance across varied situations within a multinational company 
  • Expert in Sales strategy, product development and data tracking 
  • Strong analytical thinking skills
  • Great communication skills to maintain client relationships
  • Excellent English communication, both orally and written 
  • Experience in flexible packaging/rigid packaging 
  • Experience attracting new customers in less than six months 
  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients through superior customer service
  • Experience analysing trends, data, demographics, pricing strategies, and other information that can potentially improve marketing and sales performance 
  • Willing to be based in Cikarang
