Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a multinational pharmaceutical company. Our respected client is seeking a professional with a strong background in Brand Marketing, Product Management, and leadership for the job of Marketing Director for Consumer Health. The job is based in BGC, Taguig City, Philippines. 

The Marketing Director is responsible for managing the brand lines sales, cost, profitability, yearly sales budget and ensures allocated expenses are maintained within defined budgets. They are also responsible for the review and approval of the different marketing plans and ensures that such are implemented and its effectiveness is monitored. They will directly report to the General Manager and will dotted line report to the Vice President for Consumer Health based in the region.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develops the business plan, strategy and directions of the group to ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability objectives
  • Plans and controls budgets and expense within the Brand lines in order to ensure profitability
  • Reviews and approves the sales and marketing strategies of each line to ensure that they are aligned with company directions
  • Regularly conducts Business Reviews to monitor the lines performance, pinpoint possible gaps and immediately corrects the situation by implementing corrective and preventive actions
  • Establishes contact in field with key customer’s opinion leaders, government officials and ensures continuous development of superior KOL knowledge for competitive advantage
  • Trains, develops, coach and appraise the performance of direct reports to ensure delivery of expectations and continuous competency development
  • Keeps abreast with the latest development in the industry and informs management of any changes therein
  • Approves and monitors the development and execution of activities to support the brands and related products
  • Evaluates new business opportunities/brands for possible product launch to ensure continuous profitable growth of the Business units

Job requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Business, MBA Degree is an advantage
  • 7 years' experience Marketing Management in a multi-national pharmaceutical or FMCG (personal care products) or Nutritionals (milk or vitamins) company
  • At least 2 years’ experience at Director level
  • Must have good presentation, communication and negotiation skills
  • Must be competent in Marketing Strategic Planning, Marketing Execution and Communication, and in Product Knowledge/Industry Acumen
  • Proactive with strong leadership and able to inspire and motivate staff
  • Must have customer relations, collaborative working relationship with customers, peers, and other departments, cross-functional influencing
  • Must have business leadership/acumen, coaching and leadership
  • Must be Computer literate, self-motivated and creative
